HISTORY

 SPRING SEMESTER - JANUARY 2024

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and guidance of Dr. Russell Groves, President of Maryland Theological Seminary, our pastors felt led to begin a satellite seminary in Wilmington, De. Begun in 2007, the Delaware Theological Seminary has been instrumental in equipping those called to ministry as well as those exploring their call to ministry.

Dr. William Sanford Jr. serves as Seminary president and founder; Dr. Ronald Jackson serves as Seminary dean and co-founder. September, 2009 saw the expansion of the Seminary with a new campus opening in Philadelphia. Dr Bette Kennedy joined our staff June 2017 and Dr. Ravenna Brown joined our faculty staff September 2017. Currently classes are being held on Monday evenings at 6:30 in Wilmington, Thursday evenings at 6:30 in Philadelphia, and 2nd & 4th Saturdays' 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You are cordially invited to come join us at our Degree Completion Spirit Directed Theological Seminary!

The purpose of our seminary is to provide opportunities for Biblical and Educational training. Our courses are designed to enable servants of Jesus Christ to prepare and fulfill God's call on their lives. Each student, through attending each study and their own self-study, can acquire the knowledge andspiritual insights required for most ministries that our Lord would call you too. We ask that each student meet the following requirements:

1.   Be on time (6:30 p.m.) and present in all classes.
2.   All reports must be typed.

3.   You may bring tape recorders.

4.   If you are having difficulty in any subject, please let your instructor know, and
extra help will be given to you.

5.  Weekly or Monthly payment plans are available upon request.

6.  Taste and See scholarship available for freshman scholars.

7.   All bills must be paid in full before you can take finals.

Thank you all for coming to the Delaware Theological Seminary, and God's richest blessing upon you as you go through this semester.

Because of Calvary,
Rev. Dr. William Sanford (President)
