Pastor William Sanford is a graduate of the Eastern Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Virginia. From there he received the Doctor of Divinity degree, the Master  of Divinity degree , the Master  of Religious Education degree and also the Bachelor of Theology degree. He is a graduate of the Manna Bible Institute and The Christian Research and Development School of Counseling; both located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Elder Sanford is Pastor and founder of the Agape Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church; established 1998. Pastor Sanford is a gifted and effective teacher and administrator. He is the President and founder of the Delaware Theological Seminary, 2007, also Director and founder of the Agape Bible Institute,2001. He serves as a Member of the Executive Board of the Northeast Free Will Baptist Conference. He was formerly Assistant Pastor of Bibleway Freewill Baptist Church for sixteen years; located in Philadelphia, Pa.  He also served as Dean of the New Life Bible Missionary Bible Institute Mount Airy Campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1995 to 2000. Formerly a member of the Faculty at New Life Missionary Bible Institute, Pastor Sanford has taught numerous courses, workshops and seminars; including Evangelism, Stewardship, Spiritual Manhood, Cults and Islam, Understanding People, Let’s Know The Bible and God’s Plan For the Ages.     

 

Pastor Sanford has a special love and connection with young people, involved in Youth Ministry for over twenty years. This Includes service as: Youth Pastor,12 years, Sunday School Teacher, Word of Life Bible Clubs Director, Vacation Bible School Director, Young Peoples Christian League Teacher and Board of Directors member with Youth Spectacular. Currently serves as Supervising Adviser of youth activities for the Northeast Free Will Baptist Conference.

Pastor Sanford joined Zion Baptist Church in 1973 and worked with Sunday School and youth ministries. Pastor Sanford preached his trial sermon at Zion Baptist Church October 1978 Licensed by Rev. Dr. Leon Sullivan. He served at Temple University Hospital as Chaplin for 4 years.  ​

Elder Sanford has been happily married to Lady Julia Sanford for the past Fifty-five years. He is the Father of four children, grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of ten.

Last but of most importance, Elder Sanford is a born again believer, who Loves the Lord Jesus Christ and has a made up mind to' work while it is still day for the night cometh when no man can work'.
